While I adore this product and my reasons for getting it I have had a few kinks to work onYes it's a steamerFor those who have a personal popcorn machine that pops the kernels this works very similarThe issue is it gets extremely hot so when you lift the lid the moisture accumulates on the lid so you have to move it quick to keep it in the container or it will drip on your or whatever surface your usingThe lids handles can be hot since their solid plastic so I recommend using pop holders or small rags to move itAlso as stated with some previous reviews it does not come with tongs to move these towels which are actually better made then I originally thought so they are worth the combined money as a profitBasically you pour water to the line and turn the timer on after you plug it up to get the towels steamedSo overall a great product but be careful when using it.
