The Hansgrohe 40513000 (12") and 40516000 (24") towel bars have different girths and do not work well together. In fact, the 12" bar is thicker than the 24" bar which is perplexing to say the least as they don't line up well. I am reviewing both the 12" and 24" bars here because I ordered them both.THE 12" BARThe appearance of this bar are much too heavy for the overall size. The midsection is thicker than the 24" bar but for the overall length it looks too chunky. If the other pieces in your bathroom are big and blocky, this would work well. For a sleek, modern look this is awkward. In addition, for proportions between the usable space and the total bar is out of line.THE 24" BARFor a long bar you want to be able to hang a towel unimpeded so that it dries properly. Unfortunately you are only able to use 23" of the 30" (tip to tip) to hang the towel. This does indeed vary between manufacturers and bars. There is nothing "wrong" per se about this as the 24" measurement is post to post but other bars do measure differently. In addition, you need space for 30" as you have to account for the tips of the bar. The 24" bar is better from a design perspective as it doesn't come across as awkwardly as the non-proportional 12" does.12" Bar and 24" BarThese bars are made in China. They are NOT made in Germany or the USA. They are made in China. That is what the box says and that is what Hansgrohe CSR say. If you want German-made hardware, you should ask Hansgrohe but at the moment, much of their Axor brand is still made there. If you are comparing these bars to the Delta Trinsic (which are also Made in China), you should definitely consider these bars as the Delta Trinsic are very cheaply constructed. From a pure quality standpoint, there seem to be well-constructed out of brass. If you are okay with it being Chinese-made, okay with the design and okay with them not being designed to pair well with each other, then these bars are a great choice.I ordered two of these for my master bath remodel. I used Hansgrohe faucets and shower fixtures so this was a no brainer. They make very good products. Happy purchaserI ordered this model, and the GROHE 40 366 000 24-Inch Accessories Towel Bar to compare. When they both arrived, I was shocked at how heavy this model is. It's much beefier than the GROHE 40 366 000 24-Inch Accessories Towel Bar… so much that it comes with a really high end and solid mounting kit. If you were to put this thing into studs inside the wall, you could use it as a pull-up bar. Superman himself could not bend this solid piece of metal. I love it, but unfortunately the diameter of the bar is just too large for my bathroom. I would highly recommend this unit, and really wanted to keep it, but it just doesn't fit with our other fixtures.Sturdy thing, beautifully constructed and designed, but just doesn't hold a large towel. It takes a folded bath towel and I also hang looped things on the ends. The bar is wider than the next size up, but each looks perfectly proportioned. I put it on my rear shower wall to use as a towel/drying bar as well as an "assist" bar to hold onto as I get in and out. The installation hardware for all these Hansgrohe products is exceptionally strong. This is the nicest towel bar I have ever had. The distance from the base to the bar is perfect for my towel, not so close or too far from wall. It is very well made and is very solid. You can't stretch your towel out completely, but I like to turn a few inches on both sides under anyway. I bought the toliet paper holder to match, but used the Delta Trinsic towel ring instead of the Hansgrohe one because I wanted a stationary ring, not one that swiveled. I also purchased the Metris S widespread faucet to keep the same style going thruout my bathroom. Love it all! This rack is great, but the fact that it only comes in one size is limiting. I wanted an 18-inch version.According to the Hansgrohe website this is a grab bar, not a towel bar.I’m afraid the other reviews, which I wish I had read before, are true about the center mechanism. It’s a small set screw meant to hold the arms level. No matter how well it’s tightened, the weight of one towel makes it tilt. I straightened it several times and tightened the set screw. To no avail. It’s beautiful to look at and really good quality. Just a design flaw. Very well built. The finish is top notch. You can feel the quality of the piece. It was a little more expensive then other towel bars but now that I have it installed I can see why. FYI- The item measures 18" overall length. The 12" length is the wall mount locations.Der Artikel ist sofort geliefert worden und sofort befestigt.Sehr stabile Qualität.Das Produkt ist sehr gut .
